Privacy Policy
Effective August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cruz Culinary ("Cruz Culinary," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit this website or contact us through it. Cruz Culinary is a culinary consulting business based in Long Beach, California.
This policy applies only to information handled through this website. If you later enter into a separate consulting relationship with Cruz Culinary, additional agreements or notices may apply to information handled as part of that relationship.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit the consultation inquiry form, we may collect:
- Your full name;
- Your facility or organization name;
- Your role or position;
- Your email address and telephone number;
- Your facility type;
- The type of assistance you are seeking; and
- Any information you include in your message.
We also collect information you choose to provide when you email or call us directly.
Information collected automatically
When you use the website, our hosting provider and other technology providers may automatically receive technical information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device and operating-system information, requested pages or files, referring page, and the date and time of a request. This information is generally used to deliver, operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
Cruz Culinary does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, or similar analytics or advertising tools on this website.
Administrator and video-library information
The Content page uses Google Firebase to display Cruz Culinary's public video library and to provide a private administrator login. Cloud Firestore stores video titles, descriptions, YouTube video identifiers, and related timestamps. Public visitors do not need an account to view the library.
For the private administrator only, Firebase Authentication processes the administrator's email address, password, user ID, and session information. The website is configured to keep that authentication session only for the browser session. Cruz Culinary does not receive the administrator's password through the public inquiry form.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Receive, review, and respond to consultation inquiries;
- Communicate about potential services and next steps;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
- Manage the public video library and administrator access;
- Detect spam, misuse, security incidents, or technical issues;
- Maintain appropriate business records; and
- Comply with law and protect our rights and the rights of others.
We do not use inquiry information to send unrelated marketing emails or add visitors to a mailing list unless we first provide appropriate notice and obtain any consent required by law.
3. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Website hosting providers. The website is hosted by Netlify, which processes requests and technical data needed to deliver and secure the site.
- Form and email providers. Inquiry-form content is transmitted using EmailJS and delivered through the Google Gmail and Microsoft Outlook services used by Cruz Culinary. The EmailJS browser library is delivered through the jsDelivr content-delivery network.
- Other Google services. Google processes information in connection with Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google Fonts, and embedded YouTube videos.
- Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, insurers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when reasonably necessary to obtain advice, comply with law, respond to lawful process, prevent harm, or protect legal rights.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
Cruz Culinary does not sell personal information for money and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Third-party features, especially embedded YouTube videos, may collect information directly as described below and under their own privacy policies.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cruz Culinary does not currently place its own analytics or advertising cookies. Third-party services used by the website may use cookies, browser storage, pixels, or similar technologies to provide functionality, maintain security, remember a session, or collect information about use of their services.
For example, the administrator login uses browser-session storage, and YouTube may use cookies or similar technologies when an embedded player loads or is used. You can adjust cookie and site data controls in your browser. Blocking these technologies may prevent videos, fonts, administrator access, or other features from working correctly.
California Do Not Track disclosure
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not currently a universally accepted standard for interpreting that signal, this website does not respond differently when it receives one. Cruz Culinary does not itself track visitors across unrelated websites for advertising purposes. Third parties that provide embedded content or website functionality, including Google and YouTube, may collect information about online activity over time and across different websites or services under their own privacy practices.
5. Third-Party Services and Links
The website contains embedded YouTube videos and links to Amazon, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other websites. When you load embedded content or follow an outside link, the third party may collect information directly from you. Cruz Culinary does not control those services or their privacy practices.
For more information, review the providers' policies:
6. Patient and Health Information
This website and its inquiry form are not designed to receive or store patient records, protected health information, medical histories, or other sensitive patient information. Please do not submit patient names, medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, or other information that identifies a patient. Facility needs can be described without identifying any patient.
7. Data Retention
We retain inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, communicate about potential services, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Copies delivered to our email account may remain there until they are no longer reasonably needed for those purposes.
Public video metadata remains in Cloud Firestore until an administrator changes or removes it. Authentication and technical data may be retained by our service providers according to their settings, legal obligations, and retention policies.
8. Information Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including restricted administrator access and service-provider security features. However, no Internet transmission, email system, or electronic storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us to ask whether we maintain personal information you submitted through this website and to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may retain information when reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, or other purposes permitted by law.
Requests concerning information collected directly by a third-party service should also be directed to that provider. Your rights may vary depending on where you live and the law that applies.
10. Children's Privacy
This website is intended for adult representatives of healthcare facilities and other adults interested in Cruz Culinary's work. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and change the effective date above. If a change is material, we may also provide a notice on the website or use another appropriate method of notice.
